Distribution Research "National Geographic Travel"

The National Geographic Travel Magazine is the second magazine I chose for my distribution research. National Geographic is very well known by the public because they have various topics of magazines, they do not only have travel magazines but also photography, science, adventure, animals, culture, environment, etc. Within the print edition of their travel magazine the main thing that stands out to me is the abundance of photographs, across two whole pages one photograph will be spread across the entire thing. From what I observed the print edition will include an article and then have 3-4 pages of photographs. I also noticed that the articles appeared pretty long, however I would say that their are more pages filled with photographs then there are pages filled with content. Their website features many of the same aspects found in their magazines. Such as; travel guides to places around the world, photo galleries, and the latest stories of events happening right now. The website includes travel guides to places in North America, Europe, Africa, Antartica, South America, Asia, and Australia. The photo galleries include photos of the best and happiest cities in the U.S., and many more. While comparing the print addition with the digital addition, I didn't find much of a difference however I think the website has more content. I think using their website would be more beneficial because it is organized so that you can get where you want to go quickly, and more photos and articles are provided to you. Their magazine is organized into three main parts and there all right in front of you, I like this style because you won't have to be searching around everywhere if your looking for something specific. If I were to use an aspect from their website, it would be their easy access and user friendly system.
